A change of urban sophistication for a hotel chain
Marga Rotger Interiorisme designs the first city hotel for Protur based on a mixture of materials in which wood predominates.

The Protur hotel chain offers retreat and relaxation spaces on the coast. It was time to transfer this model to the city, specifically to the center of Inca (Balearic Islands). Marga Rotger Interiorisme presented a groundbreaking proposal with its own identity through the combination of materials such as wood and iron. In addition, she devised a common thread to guide the space and which in turn would accompany the tour of all the rooms of the hotel, something she found in Fimanatur Eucalipto de Finsa.
"We were looking for a natural wood veneer that was a bit different from the classic ones that are being used in recent years," explains Rotger. "Among the great variety that Finsa has, we opted for the eucalyptus veneer for its sober and very elegant character, as well as for its great resistance and versatility," she underlines. The applications demonstrate this versatility, and it is that we can locate this product in rooms, common areas and in the restaurant.
Although the choice was clear, "doubts always arise during the choice of materials and the different options that are presented," says Rotger. Especially in projects of this nature, where she had to combine a style marked by the client and at the same time present an innovative line. Therefore, it is essential to have personalized advice. For Rotger, the role of Finsa in the recommendations "both at a technical and economic level" takes center stage. The result: a warm and elegant hotel whose best host is wood.
