Finvalia

Finvalia aims to contribute to the transformation of the value chain of the technical wood industry, through the development of Artificial Intelligence-based technologies that enable progress in the digitisation, traceability, efficiency and sustainability of the processes of manufacturing, marketing and reuse of technical wood.

The project proposes the development of solutions for the management, control and optimisation of increasingly complex processes that require new knowledge and tools for the handling of a large volume of data and information.

Finvalia is promoted by a consortium of four companies made up of Couceiro, Foresa, Puertas Vales and Finsa. In its implementation, technology centres, universities and companies, most of them Galician, are involved.

In October 2023, work began on the design, implementation and demonstration of 25 pilots in 6 lines of action: Cybersecurity, Maintenance, Logistics, Sustainability, Market and Production. The activities will be developed until September 2026 in the factories and centres that the companies have in Santiago, Ourense, Padrón, Rábade, Cambre, Aranga and Caldas de Reis.
