For the fifth consecutive year, we are participating in Madrid Design Festival, one of the standout events in the national design scene. Starting from February 8th, we will present three proposals: a Japanese dry garden made with our products at the Fiesta Design festival section, a talk at Madrid DesignPRO, and the provision of material for the supports of two exhibitions at Fernan Gómez Centro Cultural de la Villa. We detail it for you in this post.

Karensaui, a garden where nothing is as it seems

Karensaui is the name given to the Japanese dry garden, a space designed for spiritual retreat through beauty, made with trees, stones, and sand. Students from the University of Technology and Design materialize it at Fiesta Design, demonstrating a trompe-l'oeil of these elements using Finsa wood solutions. In this way, they create a tree with a base of almost 1 meter in diameter, manifested in 75 layers of boards reaching a height of one and a half meters.

Among our materials used, Fibrapan Bio stands out for its application in the trunk and crown. It's an innovative product due to its environmental benefits (made with biological resins from the tree itself) and its decorative qualities.

Within this Japanese dry garden, rocks and other elements are also formed by Finsa Infinite Tricoya, a high-performance waterproof board (due to its durability and stability), Fibracolour decorative boards made with medium-density wood fiber and colored throughout, and textured fiber boards Fibrapan Tex.

The need to co-create the solutions of the future

On February 16th at 11:00 am, we will participate in a talk within the Madrid DesignPRO program "New workspaces. Creation, development, and result. Perspective of a common path in a joint project between design and industry." At this meeting point, professionals from architecture, design, and industry will discuss the experience of co-creation and the creative path we take in projects through different partnerships, and how these are necessary for the progress of the sector.

Exalting the beauty of art

At Fernán Gómez Centro Cultural de la Villa, the pieces exhibited in the exhibitions "Chairs: icons of modern design. Alexander Von Vegesack Collection" and "Miguel Milá: (pre)industrial designer" exalt their beauty with support made from various finishes of technical wood derived from Fibracolour, MDF, and Tricoya.

A design DNA

At Finsa, design is in our DNA, not only as a fundamental part of product creation but also as one of the strong points of brand identity, whose business architecture consists of the Finsa Design, Finsa Tech, and Finsa Process lines.

Over the years, we have demonstrated a commitment to design by creating our own spaces of inspiration, launching Connections by Finsa, a lifestyle and habitat magazine, and participating in fairs such as Madrid Design Festival, Valencia Disseny Week, London Design Week, Dutch Design Week, Dubai Design Week, or the Salone del Mobile in Milan.
